Our Acupam system has been installed at two sites within The Ottawa Hospital group. A validated clinical management system developed exclusively for Acute Pain Services, Acupam improves patient management, tracks and reduces adverse events and is scalable from single to multiple sites. This comprehensive secure system for recording assessments is accessible from a hospital’s networked PC’s or via wireless tablets to also provide portable bedside functionality. Either method allows real time access to patient information from existing clinical systems. In addition, Acupam also creates an extensive, fully queryable database for research and CQI on a local basis or collaboratively with other users of the system.
