Cissec participated along with healthcare professionals from Johns Hopkins University - Baltimore, New York City's Department of Health, The Center for Disease Control - Atlanta, National Health Service - England, among others in a two-day conference. They shared ideas, experiences and recommendations on development and adoption issues faced by Public Health departments with regards to using Syndromic Surveillance technology for the detection of infectious disease outbreaks including Bio-Terrorism and Pandemic Planning issues.
