Canadian Healthcare Technology magazine features Cissec Corporation and the City of Hamilton’s Public Health Service in the November issue. The article refers to the recent implementation of the Syndromic Surveillance tool for the Hamilton region which they are calling the ACES (Acute Care Enhanced Surveillance) system. The successful integration with 5 area hospitals has been accomplished with real time data being sent to public health for analysis. Cissec’s expertise as the technical resource for the pilot project in eastern Ontario contributed to the creation of the Canadian version of the system and its implementation, which led to our participation in Hamilton’s project. Our consulting and implementation services were retained by the City of Hamilton to help coordinate the various participants and facilitate the technical collaboration.
